The bestselling author of The Arrangement returns with a deliciously twisted story of friendship, retribution and betrayal about a homeless woman fleeing a dangerous past – and the wealthy society wife she saves from drowning, who pulls her into a dark web of secrets and lies. Lee Gulliver never thought she’d find herself living on the streets, but when her restaurant fails and she falls deeper into debt, she leaves her old life behind with nothing but her clothes and her car. Parked in a secluded spot by the beach, she sees a sobbing woman throw herself into the ocean. Lee hauls the woman back to the surface but, instead of appreciation, she is met with fury. The drowning woman, Hazel, tells her that she wanted to die. She’s trapped in an abusive marriage, and Lee has thwarted her one chance to escape her life. Over the coming weeks, Hazel visits Lee and the women strike up an unlikely friendship. Then, one day, Hazel makes a shocking request: she wants Lee to help her disappear. It’ll be easy, Hazel assures her. But Lee soon learns that nothing is as it seems – and that Hazel may not be the friend Lee thought she was… ‘Pulse-pounding and deliciously unpredictable … Robyn Harding can twist a plot like a corkscrew’ Laurie Elizabeth Flynn, author of The Girls Are All So Nice Here ‘I’m in absolute awe of Robyn Harding's talent and skill. The Drowning Woman is an astonishing, expertly crafted story … With one killer twist after another and a masterful plot’ Samantha M. Bailey, author of Woman on the Edge

"This one was alright & kept me interested, but I didn’t quite love it —
The pace was good, but then it pushed into overdrive near the end & got almost too over-the-top — plus I hated the BDSM master-slave stuff (yuck!!! 🤮), although I realize it was inherent to the plot….
…and I felt Hazel pretty much “sold her soul to the devil” 👿 marrying a man she hardly knew, trusting him explicitly… all for what? So she could have a comfortable lifestyle?? She was dumb for leaving herself with no prospects, no options 🤦🏻♀️ …
Then there’s Lee who begins dating a customer from work, sleeps at his house, has sex with him, trusts him, yet doesn’t know his last name or phone number!? 🙄🤷♀️
Okay, that’s all I gots to say, lolzz… But this wasn’t a favorite based on the grounds that I thought these women’s actions were unreasonable, unsound… but, hey, books are about escapism, and I’d imagine some might enjoy the #twistsandturns in this #domesticthriller."
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Above average domestic thriller with a unique premise! I loved how it explored the plight of people who are homeless as well as women at the mercy of predatory controlling men. This book had these issues converge in a compelling way that keeps you guessing. The only thing I didn’t like was a major flaw at the supposed climactic twist that basically nullified the actions immediately taken before it by one of the MCs without any explanation. It was a kinda wtf moment for me but not in a good way. If not for that I probably would have rated it a bit higher. However it was a pretty satisfying read overall! "
"That was a great ride, twists and turns I was on my toes until the absolute end! Please read! "
