"As an older reader, I don't read a whole lot of YA. This story about lies, betrayal and longing had me hooked from the start. Brie our firy haired plucky heroine would do anything to save her sister who was held captive in fairie land."

"This duology deserves all the hype!!!
4.5/5 ⭐️ - can they add half stars already…
Author is not a fantasy authors but she killed it? Yes please give me more pls. Considering there is no filler in this book and it’s so easy to follow when so many fantasy book are not is what makes it worth the hype.
At first I thought it was kinda if a Cinderella meets cruel prince, which it kinda is but better.
I loved the world building, the subtle hints of all the relationships, the banter, the dynamics. I know picking this up that it’ll be a live triangle but to think it would be with two brothers lol. I learned that quickly though and it didn’t make me cringe like a lot of brother- triangles do like TVD.
Brie is a very likeable character, she way too smart and powerful but also so dumb at times like pls why??? But we move I love her.
Bash, at first I was suspicious but then I thought let’s give him a chance but he didn’t grow on me.
Finn, I loved him from the moment he was introduced and I’m utterly obsessed. My shadow prince.
I am absolutely sad that it’s a duology. It could have easily been a trilogy and I write this as I am half way through book two."
"First off, great books. I started off frustrated with the main character til I realized I have way too much in common with her as far as acting on her emotions. Lol After I noticed that, I loved her because she was so relatable. I think the writer did a great job with the characters and how things developed romantically. The story line was AWESOME but I did guess the plot and all the secrets pretty quickly. I also just have a tendency to do this. Great book to scratch the Sarah Maas itch. Lol"
"As someone who isn’t super into love triangles, large parts of book 1 were very frustrating. BUT I liked this book and devoured it quickly. At times the fmc was willfully ignorant, but it played well into her established character. Side characters were excellent. Overall a really fun read. "
