"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this book is difficult but brilliant. It’s no romance but tragedy. Heathcliff is NOT tortured romantic hero but abuser, a sociopathic narcissist to be pitied & abhorred. His story is of pathological revenge at the expense of everyone around him & his obsessions mean more than anything else in his life. This book is about THAT. And the destruction it leads to. Everything about it is hard but compelling. The writing is dense but beautiful. I can see why it’s polarizing. But I loved it. "
