"Rewatch in anticipation of the sequel in June. Probably the most action packed movie I’ve seen. Hemsworth is great as the broken mercenary in this sort of Man on Fire like movie. David Harbour with a cool cameo. Do we need to still say spoiler alert when the movie came out 3 years ago? Cause the way this one ended there probably shouldn’t be a sequel. But I see a lot of the same cast and the director is coming back so I’m excited for it. "

"I always intended to watch Extraction but never got round to it. In the hunt for some background noise while I completed other tasks, I finally hit play on this Chris Hemsworth-led action throwback. I suppose the biggest complement I can give Sam Hargrave's film is that it didn't function as background noise for very long. I was inevitably drawn in by the superbly directed set-pieces, with its much-discussed oner a particularly impressive example of technical and creative filmmaking. It is a slight shame that Joe Russo's script is as shallow and flimsy as they come, though I guess you don’t watch a film about a man named Tyler Rake for its excellent prose."
