"Cute follow up. "

"It's a fun enough movie & it has some good moments. Anytime Blu, or Linda show up the moments are good. They're interesting, enjoyable, & make you happy to watch the sequel. Even the kids who are complete & utter stereotypes pushed to the max are fun to watch. Plus, the building & expansion of Jewels & Blus marriage makes sense. I think they handled that part exceptionally well. Now you're wondering why I didn't give it a higher rating. Let's begin. This is definitely the one time I would've been happy with a movie not bringing back the original villain. He had his ending & it worked. Now he's forced back even worse than before with a tiny annoying sidekick. Don't get me wrong, Kristen Chenoweth plays the part spectacularly, but you dont want to see them when you finish. In fact, every moment Nigel (the villain) is on is pure cringe. They're trying to give more reasoning to an already good villain. Like the dude was legit a cannibal in the last movie from one simple line by a side character. He was plenty intimadating. Now he's just an utter joke. His relationship with the human villain is what made him intriguing. But that human is nowhere to be found here in the sequel. The point is, tho, you didn't really care for him to get revenge, & they force it on you. Now, all you want is to skip those moments. Any scene he's in feels wrong & too much. Hes not needed & truly a distraction to the story. All the time spent on uom could've been better spent on the characters you truly care about. Another sad thing is Fernando is in the movie for 3 seconds. That cute kid you fell for in the first movie who got his happy family ending is gone. Despite the fact he'd basically been adopted we don't see him again. He's the one side character I really looked forward to seeing more of so that was beyond disappointing. Overall, it has some good parts & even a fun story but they get too distracted by needless characters. If they'd focused it could've been so much better."
