Though she can spin wild tales of passionate romance, novelist Joan Wilder has no life of her own. Then one day adventure comes her way in the form of a mysterious package. It turns out that the parcel is the ransom she'll need to free her abducted sister, so Joan flies to South America to hand it over. But she gets on the wrong bus and winds up hopelessly stranded in the jungle.

"This is just a wonderful funny and lovely movie. I also love movie trivia. The writer of this movie script was an unknown working as a waitress while writing different scripts at home. She pitched this older (1979) script that she had written to one of her customers that she was serving in her waitress job who just happened to be Micheal Douglas. Michael Douglas bought her a Porche later on as a thank you gift. It was unfortunate that she let her drunk boyfriend drive her in her Porche one night because she was killed in the crash. This was the only movie she was credited on since she died so early in her writing career."
