"This book is written so beautifully and descriptively, you get immersed into the story. It is hands down the best urban fantasy that I have read. While reading, I could imagine it playing out like a series. Which leads me to saying that I NEED this made into a series that does the book justice. Will be reading the rest of the Greenbone Saga"
"Could only be described as beautifully written. A journey of a combative turf war between two powerful clans. The writer's details lead you to root for the No Peak clan through and through. If only the beautiful Jade stones could give people illusive powers in the real world. Thrilling, powerful, and emotional tale. I will be continuing with book two Jade War 📚"
"Wow, what an amazing read and amazing feat of writing. If I had known that this book was mostly about clan politics, I may not have read it. However, now I know how intricate and interesting a story like this can be. Fonda Lee created an ENTIRE world and society in such detail without ever dragging on or seeming to share unimportant information.

I especially love the mythology of the Jade City shared at the start of each interlude which so perfectly led insight into the culture of the characters.

This world was so real that the bioactive or magical Jade and the powers it brings the green bones who wear it didn’t even seem magical. It was simply their reality and I believed every word written.

I LOVED how I was unable to accurately predict pretty much any twist and then throughout this book. I had guesses, but they never panned out exactly how I thought-which I love. Unpredictable, enthralling, and consuming."
"Genuinely so well done! Absolutely was living for this. Very emotional and had me in tears near the end. 4.75 stars could really be a 5 star but I need to give myself a grace period because I always think things are better immediately after finishing them than I do after a few days to process. However, this book is so well written; the characters felt real; the fight scenes were so fun to read. Just everything about this book I pretty much loved. I didn’t think there was a point where I felt like I was bored and just ready for it to be over."
