"7/10 🌟 Disappointed! 😔 Maybe I had higher expectations for it than I should have, the ending was blank I suppose because of the sequel. Its a wlw book but we barley had them actually live in each other or even interact out of the professional environment! It took me a while to finish this book, it was 400 something pages but it was long in terms of content. I was expecting more out of the two main characters. I wanted MORE! More love, mystery, and JUST MORE! It was interesting overall, it was like a robot invasion but with another human species!#nonfictionbooks #romance #queerrepresentation #queer_readers #lgbtqia #wlwromance #wlw "
"It is difficult for me to read I have always liked audiobooks. Honestly I'm not sure I would have ever picked this out for myself and what a tragedy that would have been. It came in my owlcrate box, I turned the page hours later was lost in it, I could not put the book down. The first two chapters was an amazing opening each one introducing Crier then Ayla. This was so well written never waining and sometimes the way the writer described things was almost lyrical. The relationship between these women was like a slow burn I just loved. They both were learning from each other both intrigued by the way one lived or what one liked even though they were enemies. These pages came alive everytime they shared a secret moment together. I couldn't get enough. Also the little notes in between chapters were very interesting and a nice touch to the overall story. I have been stepping away from YA books recently and this did not read like a normal boring YA I was very pleased and can't wait for the next book. I fell for this hook, line, and sinker haha. Well done."
"Fantasy, adventure, almost dystopian like. WLW. One bed trope. Ayla is your average human, part of a rebelling group. (Almost Katniss like, but more low-key). goes under cover in the castle, meets the princess (Crier) who is like a robot kind of human (hard to explain) she’s literally perfect basically. Trigger warnings, death, violence, blood. Difficulty 2/5. 3⭐️"
"literally everything once you get started and i’m dying to read the sequel "
