"I legitimately don't know how to do justice to a film I hold so dearly in my heart. Doin dark before it was cool. I really love a truly creepy family/kid movie, especially when it isn't super apparent that it's specifically shooting for that edge...much less an older one, since now it seems totally normal and accepted to go for spooky in a kid space. "I can't help but give 5 ⭐ out of 5, if only for the #nostalgia alone. This is a #family_friendly #classic , but it's important that you see this as the #fictional film it is. Honestly, we've all seen kids we wouldn't mind seeing go down a "bad egg" chute. Also worth noting, Oompa-Loompas are not slaves, but work in gratitude for a man who took them from a deadly situation. The central thing I still find laughable is a man bed bound for 20 years can suddenly stand, walk, and even dance! #lifelessons #based_on_a_book #fun"
