"There's been an abundance of Spiderman related movies these days, this is enjoyable if you go in with low expectations. This is not bad and not great either, an average action movie at best, would be cool to see these Characters meet with Spidey in Live-Action, but I doubt it's gonna happen considering how these movies was received. Action movie fans might get something out of this movie."
"There are attractive people (especially Aaron Taylor-Johnson) doing totally unrealistic things, bloody deaths, shirtless scenes, and lots of action. I don't know what to tell you, I enjoy that recipe. Sexiness aside, I thought Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Levi Miller actually did well in this. Kraven is completely reborn as this kinda chill loner anti-hero (versus his villain comic counterpart). Kraven enjoys longingly staring at an uninterested Calypso and unintentionally being a bad older brother. Despite this, I had fun watching it. Be prepared for several cringe-y dialogue lines (it should be expected if it's a Sony Marvel movie). I will say, at least when Taylor-Johnson says weird things, it's more charming. If you can overlook a few lazy lines, a not-so-scary antagonist, and lots of new characters being introduced, you'll at least have fun. Sad to say this movie probably won't get a sequel but yes, I would've gone to the sequel too. "
"All I wanted from this was a good origin story, a formidable villain, some solid action and a good final confrontation. This delivered on a couple of those things. Frist off the origin story was different. On the positive side I always wondered what Kraven’s connection was with nature, how he got his powers and what they were. They answered these questions and was clear about what he could do. On the negative side the villains are weak. One of them we get no back story at all and he can hypnotize people…I guess. It wasn’t rally all that clear. Rino was the man bad guy but he was in human from for pretty much the whole movie and we get no background on what his powers are or how he got them. All we get is he signed up for a procedure…that’s it. The action was pretty good with some decent choreography. But on the negative side that final fight was pretty underwhelming. Throw in some bad acting, questionable dialogue and CGI and you have a movie with potential but needed another layer of polish. It’s not as horrible as the professionals say but its not good either. Its just a very mediocre comic book movie. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Movies Reviews with Clarence for a full break down. On all streaming platforms. Link is in the bio. "i enjoyed this 1, reminiscent of old hollywood w/ very pretty actors lol. Aaron Johnson & Ariane Debose worked well together although they didn’t bother to show a love interest here. Lots of action & impressive kills. I really hated the foreigner guy, who uses hypnosis to kill in a very cowardly way imo. Loved it when Calypso gave him what for, lol. Russel was wasted here, not his best performance. I think Aaron may be the next Hugh Jackman of marvel given the right scripts. Definitely want to see more /less of him in the future. 4/5"
"Sony's Kraven the Hunter, directed by J.C. Chandor, brings a brutal and visceral origin story of one of Spider-Man's fiercest foes to the screen. Following in the footsteps of Sony’s other villain-centered films (Venom, Morbius), Kraven the Hunter continues the trend of exploring morally complex characters outside the typical superhero framework.
The film is a departure from typical superhero fare, leaning heavily into its R-rating with brutal action sequences, unflinching violence, and darker themes. Director J.C. Chandor uses a raw, grounded style to make the action feel visceral and intense. The cinematography, led by Ben Davis, showcases the beauty of the wild juxtaposed against humanity's greed and destruction.
Kraven the Hunter is a bold, bloody, and uncompromising exploration of one of Marvel’s most complex villains. While it doesn’t entirely escape the shadow of its predecessors (Venom and Morbius), the film’s unique tone, committed performances, and intense action sequences make it a worthy addition to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

"Aaron Taylor-Johnson is so hot I would let him gaslight gatekeep girlboss me anyday.
But seriously I really enjoyed Kraven the Hunter and the Sony Spider-Verse as a whole. Growing up, Kraven was one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man villains, and to this day, he still ranks in my top 3. So, getting to see a live-action version of him was awesome. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was the perfect choice for the role, and I thought this take on his origin story was cool. The decision to portray him more as an anti-hero was an interesting twist, and I found myself wishing we could see more of his journey, especially to see how he evolves into a full-fledged villain.
Even though many of the Sony Spider-Verse films haven’t exactly hit the mark (with the exception of the Venom trilogy), I still had a blast watching them. Their campy, over-the-top moments often made them a lot of fun. And speaking of Venom, I absolutely adore all three films. Venom is one of my favorite anti-heroes of all time, and I will be forever grateful to Sony for bringing him to life."
"Genuinely not as bad as everyone is portraying it to be. This movie is definitely being over-hated and I believe it’s a trend since it is a Sony spider-verse movie.
Now I wouldn’t say it’s an amazing film or even a great film, but it was a decent film.
Although, the action scenes were all pretty good, the character was portrayed badly. Kraven is a villain, yet this movie made him into a good guy and makes him “evil” in the last scene which seemed very random and out of place for this film. On top of that the Russell Crowe accent in this film was a bit annoying.
If this wasn’t a “Marvel” movie I’m pretty sure it would be liked a bit more."
