JessPersonally, I thought this movie was perfect. It wasn't totally action packed like the first Hunger Games and Catching Fire, but it didn't matter since it didn't necessarily need the action to make it good. It had a good balance of emotional scenes that helped formulate the backstory for how the Hunger Games was created, as well as how Snow adapted and changed from being a young adult to an evil president. The graphics were spectacular, the actors were extremely talented (loved Snow and Lucy) and the soundtrack really helped to pull things together. I recommend this for ANYONE, whether you've seen the previous Hunger Games movies or not. But I must say, if you've seen/read the other Hunger Games books or movies, this will definitely live up to your expectations.
