"Pretty good for a network show. Great season finale cliffhanger. We’ll see if we ever get a payoff. "

"It is an interesting show that I will be looking forward to the next season.
I went into this immediately getting Psych vibes. It felt like a version of that just with a female as opposed to Spencer. Then it changed. Instead of straight humor like Psych it has sarcasm. It also has deep intense historical facts as opposed to minute hyper vigilant nature. Now, please don't consider that a bag on this show. That's just what you're going to get. It is not Psych. But I do think Psych fans will enjoy this. In fact, it's based on another show of a similar name, but this is the Americanized version of it. It definitely feels like that with a ton of women empowerment dumped in. Still, I enjoyed it.
Here's the catch. My friends and I started watching this not knowing it was a 1 episode released every week kind of deal. So we decided to watch it together. 2nd episode hits & we felt like the facts were more of "I'm smarter than you" jabs as opposed to real detective work. That came to a head on the 3rd. We all kind of agreed we were done with the show. But it got under my skin, & with my friends permission l, I kept watching on my own. (They were really done with it.) I did watch it and then went back for another viewing when the finale finally released. There is an issue with episodes until about 5, I cant quite pinpoint what it is. But it's there & you will struggle. Especially if you're not watching consecutively. (Pilot is great tho)
Still, the show does progress & focus on other characters that hook you into it. You'll find enjoyment in the absurdities while being impressed by the connections made. Soon it grows on you, then you're stuck.
I would like to note Henry was robbed, & I miss that character from the pilot. I think he brought a certain respite to it I can't quite place.
Overall, if you like spunky main females, & cop shows (especially detective ones) you'll enjoy this. Just stick with it a
& try getting distracted in those earlier episodes."

"If it doesn’t make me wanna be a detective, it wasn’t good enough. Also the writing and acting are pretty bad too."

"season 1 was a blast! sometimes i find network detective shows like this to be a bit repetitive and stifling but kaitlin olson’s character is a breath of fresh air. i love the humor throughout and the directing is so unique. the characters have very interesting and sweet dynamics. certain mysteries left something to be desired, i’m not sure exactly what. but overall really cool stuff i’m looking forward to the next season!"
