On Call

"On Call is an 8 episode series on Prime that has an authentic, gritty vibe to it. At only 30 minutes an episode, it's a quick and easy binge watch. We follow a veteran cop and her trainee in Long Beach as they answer calls and serve the community while they search for a cop killer which leads to other bad guys. Filmed in a style that makes use of body cameras and dash cams along with conventional cinematography, it kind of has an "End of Watch" feel to it. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, so I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good cop show to watch. 8.5/10"

"On Call is a new police drama on Amazon Prime, produced by Dick Wolf (Law and Order, Chicago PD). The show follows veteran training officer Tracie and her rookie partner, Alex, as they respond to various emergencies in Long Beach, California. The show incorporates a mix of traditional filming and footage (which I can’t determine if I like) from body cams and dash cams, giving it a documentary-like feel reminiscent of older cop shows. While I’ve only watched one episode, let’s see where this goes this season."
