They’re all very different authors with very different styles. I’ve read some of them and enjoyed, but I don’t know that you can lump them all in together

I really liked The Secret History, I thought My Year of Rest and Relaxation was pretty good, I’ve read Earthlings and a collection of short stories by Murata and thought the short stories worked much better, and I’ve read Hard Boiled Wonderland at the End of the World by Murakami and ended up liking it way more than I expected to.

Donna Tartt is such an amazing author, I recommend starting with The Secret History! It has to be my favorite book of all time. I read it a few months ago and I still can’t stop thinking about it.

I love Haruki Murakami and Hiromi Kawakami. Can't stand Otessa Moshfegh or Donna Tartt.
